PicClick is a new visual search tool that was developed in order to offer a thumbnail view of dozens of items for a given search based on eBay and Amazon results. To use this service, you have 4 elements you can fill in: The search term (main field), a minimum/maximum price, and a zip code. PicClick will then search eBay or Amazon, presenting you the results in a kind of thumbnail pics and prices for products matching the search.

To refine your search, the site allows you

to select quite some category suggestions like Computers & Networking : Desktop PCs, or Clothing, Shoes & Accessories : Women's Shoes...

I have found the site elegant and simple to use than the built-in search tools on eBay and Amazon.

The site was built by Ryan Sit. According to the conversion I found in startupsd site, PicClick is based on eBay and Amazon open APIs. On top of that Sit used standard PHP, XHTML/CSS, Javascript (Prototype & Scriptaculous), and MySQL.

Last thing to say is that anything people buy after clicking through from PicClick will earn the referral fees through Amazon and eBay’s respective affiliate programs.
